Our newly expanded portfolio of regular events dedicated to Fellows of CIPS provide an excellent opportunity for you to meet and be inspired with thought provoking discussions on key issues, and to exchange ideas and experiences. Held in exclusive and stylish venues, the events are designed to be interactive and to encourage learning, discussion and debate through presentations by senior procurement leaders, opportunities to build contacts, and restaurant dining.

Our active and growing Fellows’ LinkedIn group has over 400 members and is open to all Fellows. This essential networking tool can help you to engage with senior procurement professionals online, sharing knowledge, insights and opportunities.

Events Terms and Conditions

Respected as a benchmark for excellence, a CIPS Supply Management Award is the most prestigious recognition an organisation or individual in the procurement and supply chain profession can receive.

Winners of the 2017 CIPS Supply Management Awards will be announced on 13 September at the legendary Great Room, Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London. More than 1000 attendees are expected to gather for the climax of the 2017 Awards, celebrating excellence in procurement and supply management.  

Your host for the evening will be Joel Dommett, comedian, actor and television presenter.

The Awards evening is an opportunity for you to be among the first to witness the revealing of the winning individuals and companies, and take the opportunity to network amongst them.  

The evening is set to be a sell out so make sure you secure your place early.

The event will focus on the work underway in Wales to combat Modern Slavery, including a presentation by Wales’ Anti-Slavery Coordinator  and the cross-sectoral Leadership Group he organises. We will discuss the publication of Wales’ Code of Practice on Ethical Employment in Supply Chains, with its wider focus on unlawful and unethical employment practices in supply chains, and hear from organisations that have signed up to it. CPD 2

Chris Syder, Partner at Pennington Manches, our hosts for the evening, will talk about his considerable experience in these areas, and Justine Currell, of UNSEEN, will cover the work of the Modern Slavery Helpline and work on improving transparency in supply chains.After the short presentations there will be a question and answer session with the speakers, which will provide an opportunity for sharing experiences and feedback.

CIPS Fellows invite you to an evening of learning from Richard Mullender, The Hostage Negotiator

After military service and time in the private sector, Mullender joined theCPD 2 Metropolitan police.

He worked as a detective investigating serious crimes. Then one life-changing day he trainedto become a hostage negotiator.

His skills were so well regarded that he was appointed Lead Trainer at Scotland Yard’s National Hostage and Crisis Negotiation Unit.

Richard Mullender has built his career on developing elite-level listening skills.

What he has to share with you will surprise, entertain and challenge you in equal measure.

Following the hugely successful event last December we are delighted to be once again hosting our Fellows Winter Dinner at the prestigious and historic Oriental Club giving a unique opportunity for Fellows to experience the ambience of the Orient in the luxuriant surroundings and to enjoy the Michelin – rated cuisine.

For nearly two hundred years, the Oriental Club has been an iconic Central London focal point for those returning from India and the East. The Club treasures its rich history and the extraordinary characters who have been associated with the it, since the Duke of Wellington founded the Club as the first and only President.
